How To Measure
Grab your measuring tape and let's get started!
To properly measure your size, you need to ensure you are measuring your bust, hips and waist in a straight across and level fashion.
For your bust, you'll want to measure along the fullest part.
For your waist, find the smallest part of your waist (usually just above your belly button) and measure.
For your hips, you want to measure the largest or fullest part below your waist. This could be around your buttocks or lower down around your thighs depending on your body shape. It is not necessarily across your hip bones (this is a common mistake people make)
Once you have your measurements, compare them to the measurements in each size chart to find your proper gown size! Remember, each designer's size chart will vary slightly so you may be one size with one designer and another size with another designer.
If you find you are between sizes, it is always best to size up and have the gown taken in. It is not uncommon to require slight alterations to wedding gowns.
Lastly, please keep in mind that some sample gowns may be a little stretched out from being tried on and depending on the material (in this case you may be able to size down).
